The Training and Education Program for Equine-Assisted Children’s and Youth Coaches. This training provides you with a solid, hands-on foundation for professionally supporting and empowering children and young people with the help of horses. The carefully designed combination of self-study, live online sessions, and practical training days ensures a structured, high-quality learning experience with a strong focus on practical application. You will receive a proven framework for effective coaching that meaningfully combines theory and practice — from developmental psychology and needs-based approaches to Nonviolent Communication (NVC). A comprehensive toolkit of practical exercises involving horses will help you design topic-specific coaching sessions that are both individualised and safe. At the same time, the training supports your own personal development. You will learn to reflect on your own attitudes and approach, communicate mindfully, and lead with authenticity. This profession combines purpose, impact, and future potential. Our programs offer you two different ways to use horses to support effective development processes in children and young people – depending on your previous experience and professional goals.

Full training – Your complete introduction to horse-assisted work with children and young people

The full training course is aimed at anyone who wants to get started in horse-assisted work from scratch – whether as a career change, professional development, or on the path to self-employment. Here you will gain a comprehensive foundation in theory, practice, and personal development. You will learn how to use the power of horses to professionally support children and young people – from conversation techniques and the safe conduct of horse-assisted coaching to service design and market positioning. Through intensive practical phases with horses, self-awareness, support from trainers, and a structured consolidation phase with supervision and project work, you will gradually grow into your new role as a coach. At the end, you will receive the certificate “Horse-Assisted Child & Youth Coach,” which qualifies you to work independently with clients and build your own professional practice.

Fast Track: Advanced Training – Compact Specialization for Experienced Coaches

This advanced training course is aimed at already trained equine-assisted coaches who would like to expand their work specifically to include children and adolescents. This advanced training builds on existing coaching skills and teaches the educational, developmental psychological, and communicative specifics of working with young people. The focus is on topics such as child-friendly questioning techniques, developmental stages, needs-oriented approaches, and legal and safety-related aspects of child coaching. With a ready-made course program and topic-specific exercises, you can get started right away. The content is compact, practical, and immediately applicable—ideal if you want to expand your existing coaching services or address new target groups. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of participation as proof of your professional specialization.
